Let's package fonts. What could go wrong?
In this session I would discuss about:
- Differences between non-free fonts, free (DFSG-free) fonts and fonts that’s allowed to be in main.
- (Probably wrong) assumption of ttf and otf font formats as “preferable file for making modifications”, and the paradox it causes.
- Reasons why we want to build fonts from source.
- The battle of making fonts of source formats buildable.
